Friday

Please join me...

In saying a little prayer this morning because one of my best friends just went through a tragic thing last night. I won't say whom but she is a great girl that wish she hadn't gone through all this...{photo via here}

She had a D&C because it was in her fallopian tube.

And she is one of the few ppl that want to have babies so this is very hard on her.

So please keep her in your prayers and thoughts, and the many women, who have to go through this. I feel horrible because I am getting my hair done today and I should be with her... this sucks. I'm just going to leave her be for a few hours before I go over to see her. I really hope she can get pregnant again. She really wants a baby. You have no idea. She's been planning on having a baby for a very, very, very long time and even though this one wasn't exactly planned, it's still a hard thing to go through.

Hun (you know who you are), I am so sorry you had to go through this. I love ya.

OK. I'm gonna go now.

♥,

*p.s. if you want to know what I am up to since I can't update this blog as much during the week, follow me on Twitter here. Or just read my latest tweet on the right hand side of this blog. Hope to update on the status of my friend... and more...*

Breakfast now and later Olive Garden

I wish I woke up early enough to make orange french toast!
But whatever my dad is making smells yummy!!!
We both woke up late and we are having breakfast at 11am.
hehe

Later today, we're going to Olive Garden.
We includes Quynh, Monica and I.
They are two of my best friends and I've known them for over 8 years... maybe even more.
But I don't want to do the math right now because I am hungry.
Will update later...

Too close to home, too many changes... hoping for better days

Report: New York to lead US cities in job losses

NEW YORK – Only five metropolitan areas in the U.S. will escape job losses this year, according to a forecast released Saturday by the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
New York is expected to take the biggest hit as thousands of jobs are lost on Wall Street. Big financial firms are slashing workers as they cope with bad debt. Other companies have gone under, like Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., which filed for bankruptcy in September.
The New York area is expected to lose 181,000 jobs in 2009, the report said. Consulting company IHS Global Insight produced the report for the group.
The Los Angeles area is expected to see 164,000 lost jobs, in part because of the huge drop in home prices that has punctured the California economy.
After New York and Los Angeles, the Miami area is expected to see the greatest loss, with a decline of 85,000 jobs. Chicago and the surrounding area are next, with losses projected at 80,000.
Unemployment is expected to top 10 percent in 70 areas, from already hard-hit cities like Detroit and Cleveland to places that had until recently been prosperous like the Riverside-San Bernardino area in California. Other big cities like Denver and St. Louis are expected to see unemployment rise above 9 percent.
Ithaca, N.Y.; Fairbanks, Alaska; and St. George, Utah, are among the handful of the nation's 363 metropolitan areas expected to see employment remain flat or increase slightly.

I don't work in the NYC area (or Wall Street...) but it is very close to home.

That is A LOT of unemployed people!!!

I mean how are we supposed to rejoice in the CHANGE that our president-elect is promosing us when our whole country is literally falling apart slowly...

Our country is CRUMBLING and it is not good for morale.

I hope tomorrow goes well for our President and his family. Let him enjoy his "honeymoon" stage of his political career.

But let me tell you one thing: there best be changes coming. Or else we will see another depression and this one will hit harder than ever!

I just had to put my two cents in about this. Because many people around me are being affected by this poor status we are in right now. I hate talking politics, money, religion and many other topics (such as exes) but this could not be left unsaid. It is something that is happening over and over again around me and it is NOT good.

May God (or whomever it is that watches over us... *big brother*... haha) bless us until we see change that can help us ALL.

=-}

Wednesday

NKOTB Concert!

It was AWESOME, FABULOUS, AND WOULD LOVE TO DO IT AGAIN!
That concert was amazing. I have tons of pics from the concert but it would take too long to upload them all on here. So i have a webshots site so you can definitely look at them there! But here are some of them:

Saturday

Shake, shake shake shake shake it!

So i went over to my friend's apartment on Thursday night and we had some martinis that she wipped up:

The first batch of martinis were delicious! Not too strong and they were just yummy. But the second ones were way too strong and I don't think martinis go well with pizza which is what we had for dinner! She made it our "Ghoul's Day" because we won't get to spend Halloween with each other.
Plus I made some brownies which were delicious:

And later on when we got the pizza not Lauren or Tina could open the packet of napkins. It was so funny. Tina (whom is pictured here) had to take her keys out and rip it open!

I love those two ladies! They are awesome!
Plus we are going to see NKTB on Monday and we are all sooooooooooooooooooo EXCITED!
YAY!
It's in Madison Square Garden and we get to spend about two hours walking around NYC. How fab does that sound???
Ok gotta go.
Meeting up with my other friends Quynh and Moni to see Moni's apt. and FINALLY meet her BF of however long Jay. (Moni if you read this it's about time we meet Jay!!!!!)
Updates soon to follow!
