Monday

We don't ONLY shop at Wal-Mart

We also go to BJ's!

Can't you see how excited we are???
(hehe)

Question:
Does anyone remember ever having Little Bites Banana Nut and don't you miss them like crazy???
I mean yes the chocolate chip are great and so are the brownine ones BUT
I miss the banana nut ones!
=(
(grrr... looks like they discontinued them. can't find them anywhere online)
I haven't tried the 100 calorie pack ones either... have you?
Any good?

And I love these cookies. But we didn't buy them... to freaking expensive and I had enough cookies/junk at home... and bringing this big can to my house... yeah wouldn't last over a week between Kev, my dad and I!
yeesh! too much calories!

Yep. Our trip to BJ's was fun.

But I always have fun with the Kevin. He makes trips to stores a lot more fun and entertaining!

Thursday

And what did Kevin give up?

Yep.
Fast food restaurants.
And it is including subway.
Kevin's one, and only one, option is Wawa!
Because it is the most convenient thing to go to from work...
he's done it before but not for 40 days.
we'll keep you updated!

Wednesday

maybe this will help:

"One of the factors which I credit most strongly with helping me to lose weight was keeping a food diary. Jim's written on Diet Blog before about how to keep a food diary and why, but I suspect there are plenty of dieters who think it's not worth the effort. Here's my five top reasons to write down what you eat:

Account for all those 'little extras'
Many people eat healthily at mealtimes, but snack poorly in between. If you're aiming to lose a pound a week, just a few extras (eg. a can of coke, a cookie and a packet of crisps) during the day prevents you from seeing results on the scales.
Writing down everything you eat demonstrates the cost of those 'occasional' nibbles...

Know when you can afford to treat yourself
Conversely, keeping track of your food intake over the course of a day or a week gives you the freedom to enjoy a treat once in a while - guilt-free. If you know you've got calories to spare for the day, and no chocolate has passed your lips for six days, you can indulge yourself!
Be aware of when you're eating
Keeping a food diary highlights patterns, showing if you overeat at particular times. Perhaps you binge late at night, because you've been eating too little all day? Or perhaps you graze constantly? If you don't keep a food diary because you have no hope of remembering everything you eat ... you may need to change your habits.

Fight 'portion creep'
Those of us who've been dieting or maintaining for a long time often get used to "eyeballing" portions rather than weighing everything out. But if your weight loss has plateaued, or if those pounds are edging back on, keeping a diary means you need to weigh your foods. That "medium" portion of pasta or rice might be bigger than you think...

See your habits changing
It can be motivational to look back on a food diary from a few months or even years ago and see how your nutritional choices have changed. Perhaps you've curbed your chocolate habit, or maybe you now eat proper meals instead of junk-food snacks. And if you're having a bad day, flicking back to a "perfect" week in your diary is encouraging: if you did it once, you can do it again!

Boost your self-control
Knowing you have to write down everything you eat makes you think twice about that donut, or that second plateful at a buffet. Even if you're the only person who'll see your diary, recording your food intake is a very easy way to improve your self-control."

This is one of the many articles/people who have said that it is a great way to see what you eat in order to not eat so much after all.
I believe it more now because when I used to do it for WW the writing down of food made me realize that if I ate food with less fat/calories and more fiber/protein it would fill me up faster.
Also seeing every day/week what I had to eat I would try to make healthier choices rather than eating the wrong foods.

Sunday

Food time

So this is what I have been eating these past few weeks!

California RollChicken with Broccoli and pasta salad (made by moi)

And my rendition of Dunkin' Donuts waffle sandwhich... PLUS fresh strawberries. Those were YUMMY!!!
I have been uber busy to update so much that has been going on but... I'm slowly making my way back to the blogging world!

Thank you for anyone who keeps coming back and reading ... I appreciate it!
But I would just really like to keep going for my own sake because I want to look back and know what I was doing at this time of my life... you know?

Wednesday

Perkin's Birthday Night

It was Kev's dad's bday on Election Night and we decided to go out last week to Perkin's for a bday dinner.
Like I said Kev got new glasses and they are ... get this... TIMBERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could NOT believe MY BOYFRIEND actually got nice DESIGNER glasses! He didn't even know they were designer either because he didn't understand why I was so excited/surprised by his awesome and nice glasses!
He even got a nice Timberland case that is soft and fuzzy... but not as gayish as that sounds... haha.
So we were both bad about our choice of food that night!
That's Kev above...
And this is mine below!
It was really good but .... I could have used a salad (which I am hungry for right now!)
This is Kev's mom... She went safely with baked salmon (which looked delicious!)
And this is the bday boy!!!
And this was not planned but there were about five girls (which included our waitress that was horrible btw!) that came out singing with a cupcake and and candle.

we were all surprised and ... trying to not laugh hysterically cuz Kev's dad was sooooo funny about it. He was surprised and sort of annoyed they did it.

haha

Can you tell he was so excited about his bday cupcake??? haha
He made a wish!
And I do hope that he wished for something good and it comes true because it has been a rough year so far for his whole entire family!

The little girl sitting at the next booth behind Kev's parents was funny... she made a joke about toilets:

What is dirtier than a toilet?

Your legs.

I don't get it either.

Plus she had RED highlights in her hair... she was probably only 9 years old!!!! Is that too young or am I turning into a weird person who thinks giving a cell phone to a 11 year old is too young????

Discuss please!!!!!!!!!

Monday

Another date night!

I'm going to be so jealous of the fact that we will not be able to do this after May...

Darn nursing school!

Sunday

Cupcakes galore!

So talkin' about cupcakes, this cute Cupcake Courier is so awesome.

What makes it even more awesome is that you can also use it for cakes!
There are more colors but I like the blue one the best!
Pics and courier found here!
