"It's magical."

Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana are just adorable and magical.

This movie made me cry and smile at the same time.

I love this type of love.

I {fortunately} know this love and it doesn't disappear, thankfully.

Friday

Adam.

This looks wonderful.

Farrah Fawcett: never forgotten

Unfortunately, the whole world lost two major legendary icons of our time Thursday. First Farah Fawcett and then later in the day the King of Pop.
Farrah:
May you now rest and no longer have to suffer and be in pain and can now forget about fighting cancer.
Some of the great pictures of Farrah over the years.

LOVE HER HAIR!

SO GORGEOUS.

What a great woman she was and will definitely be a legend of our time.

May her family be at peace and that her fight against cancer never be forgotten.

Farrah was a gorgeous and talented woman.

R.I.P.

Remembering the great Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson - You Are Not Alone
Uploaded by Pauleta_60. - Music videos, artist interviews, concerts and more.

So as you probably already know, Michael Jackson passed away Thursday afternoon due to a heart attack. I feel so saddened by this that I need to take some time to actually take time to post some videos and pictures on here because he was one of the artists that have influenced me while I was a young girl and loved his songs. Yes I was not born for some of his major hits and very young when the above song was released but I still loved it.

That was the magic of Michael Jackson though. He reached many, many generations of people and his songs are very relatable and extraordinary. I loved Thriller, You are not alone, and even one of the most recent songs he released You Rock My World.

AMAZING!!!
I can't stop thinking how many people he has impacted around the world and over so many years.
He was great!
Some more of my fave videos of him:

Gotta love the '80s!

Oh I wish I was able to do this. I need to learn the whole routine. One of my life goals... =):

May he now rest in peace as we remember him through his music, his legacy and his strength and brilliance that was his life and music.
God Bless his family.

Thursday

Latest movies I have watched.

I have seen two movies in the past couple of weeks (which is very rare... how I saw these two in between all the crap I have been doing for school, clinicals, night shift work, and house work I will never know).
However, I have chosen the two greatest movies this summer (I think anyway!).
'The Hangover' and 'The Proposal' were AWESOME!
Comedies are one of my favorite types of movies.
Would you like a review?
Yes?
Ok. Here they are ... even if you answered no to the last two questions. =p

'The Hangover' with Bradley Cooper (HOT!), Ed Helms (love him in 'The Office'), Zach Galifianakis (honestly don't remember seeing him in anything... but apparently he was in 'What Happens in Vegas' with Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz which was a funny movie as well.) and Justin Bartha (who I knew him from National Treasure but couldn't name his real name... haha).

These guys made the movie amazingly awesome!!! I could not be happier with this movie because I thought it would be a 'guy movie' but it was definitely not just a guy movie. =)

I haven't laughed so much in a movie before for a very very VERY long time!

If you haven't seen it yet, you should go VERY soon!!!

Plus, Heather Graham and Sasha Baresse are great [and are also pretty... hot in this movie. =p FYI for the guys {or girls}... ;) ]

And YOU HAVE TO stay for through the ending credits! You will not be disappointed! Pretty much explains the movie plus makes you pee all the soda/water you just drank throughout the whole movie.

9 out of 10 stars for a grade.

'The Proposal' with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds was such a great movie to see with my girl friends Tina and Lauren.

I have to say that I was not expecting to CRY at certain parts of this movie and so were Tina and Lauren. We are such girls!

=p

The fact that you get to see Sandra Bullock AND Ryan Reynolds pretty much naked definitely is the icing to the cake!

Such hotness in those scenes. It is a must see for the summer!!!

Even though it is a 'romantic comedy' I think Kevin would love this movie because of how funny and how relatable it is to many of us who are at that point in our lives where we are busy people who are in the cusp of getting married but can't because our careers and responsiblities keep getting in the way.

It's such a great movie. I hope I get to see it again and it is a definite movie I will get on DVD!

Along with 'The Hangover' of course.

9.5 out of 10 stars for this movie.

If you have seen either of these GREAT movies please comment below and tell me what you thought.

Thank for reading and comin' by!

Sunday

Oh my dear Daddy

We were both so busy today that we didn't get to celebrate Father's Day together. My daddy got a lovely little card and a bit of financial help from me since I didn't have either the time or any clue what to get my wonderful father.
I have mentioned my dad before, both in the 'i love you but i might just wanna kick ya right now' to 'i love my dad and take him for granted and am ever so thankful for all that he does for me'.
So, in all of this, i want to say that I wish my daddy a great and wonderful Father's Day. I wish I didn't have clinicals this morning and I wish he didn't have to work but such is life.
He has been working his tushy off the past week and that gives me more energy and encouragement to do better in classes because as I've said it before - i'm not only going to nursing school for myself. no no. i am doing this for the benefit of my daddy who has worked so hard to give me everything i have.
=)
I love you Daddy and if you ever get to reading this blog of mine, I want to remind you that I don't take you for granted even if sometimes I act like I was still 15 and in high school.
Thank you so much for all you have done, are doing and will do for me and for our well-being. I couldn't ask for a better daddy in this whole world.
And this vid is just for cute purposes because it is an oldie but a goodie like another blogger said. I fell in love with it as soon as i saw it and always keep it in the back of my mind.

Cuteness right???
So HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DADDY!

And to all the dad's out there hope you had a wonderful day today!

Coastal Nest: make your blog go green ... even if it's only for a week!

I couldn't agree more with Coastal Nest:

"As you may or may not be aware, a Presidential election was held in Iran this past weekend. And as many expected, incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was “re-elected” to a second four year term by a substantial margin over reform candidate Mir Hussein Moussavi.
Despite widespread allegations of election fraud, Ahmadinejad and the forces under his control (the Revolutionary Guard, intelligence services, and so on) are moving to consolidate power and quash dissent from the reformists, who advocate

greater freedom and a more pragmatic approach to the economy, international relations, and social conditions (including women's rights in particular), and a more conciliatory face to the West.
Many of our fellow .NET developers in Tehran, including Keyvan Nayyeri and Mahdi Taghizadeh, have turned “citizen journalists” and are trying to get the word out about conditions on the ground through services like Twitter, despite deliberate government interruptions of communication and Internet services meant to quell political opposition. Believe it or not, following their tweets has been more enlightening than watching or reading the mainstream media, who don't seem willing or able to devote the time and attention this important story deserves. If you like, you can follow Keyvan and Mahdi on Twitter yourself.
If you live in the USA or any free country; where you are allowed to say what you want, do what you want, elect the leaders you want, read the blogs you want, and march in the streets if you want, then take a couple of minutes and show your support for these brave men and women who want nothing more or less than to enjoy the same freedoms you and I take for granted every single day.

It won’t take much. Put a green background on your blog or website for a week. It’s a small gesture, but it would mean a lot.
Just do it. And be thankful that you can.

So for this whole week (and maybe even longer) my sidebar will be green.

Will you do the same???

Oh vacation.

MargaritaImage via Wikipedia

Wouldn't I like to take a vacation?
Where, do you ask?
Anywhere but here.
Anywhere sunny and where they serve some margaritas all day long and I can get a great tan...
Oh that would be a vacation.
NO worries, no responsibilities, no school, no work.
How great would that be?
*sigh*
But not for me. Not right now. I can't wait to get to that point of my life where I can take a vacation: FINALLY!

But this type of green is NOT cool for weeks on end.

So crazy!

And apparently there are horrible storms coming in the morning.

We'll see when we finally see some lovely sunshine on this part of the country...

Tuesday

I have reached my ultimate breaking point.

with my weight.

I knew I was gaining (not going to lie to myself about that) ... but didn't know I was gaining THIS much! ah!

I hate the yo-yo dieting and going on a 'diet' is just crazy. I've tried Weight Watchers before and it has worked!

But with school and working night shift it is just ever too crazy to get back into the rhythm of exercising and doing the points and going to meetings. There just isn't enough time in the days/weeks of my current life to do all that.

I am going to try to cut on all the fried food and the candies and sweets ... it'll be hard but.... my body and organs will thank me later.

i hope!

if i had the time i would put more effort into exercising in everyday and plan my meals ahead of time. but for now i will just not buy any bad food and not eat it. more fresh veggies, low fat, fat free, low calorie, high fiber, more protein foods in my diet are needed.

if you have any suggestions on how i can accomplish this... please let me know.

and I can't believe I'm going to admit this but: the reason I hit this ultimate breaking point is that I actually had a hole in my pants. i tried to trick myself by saying that it was just an old pair of jeans but my brain knew better. it was because i have gained A LOT of weight! ALOT!!!!!!

*sigh*

I love to hate to love food but... i don't know if all this fat can give me a coronary one day. =(

we shall see how this big breaking point will help me. i have done it before (when i was even 10 lbs lighter than i am now) and it did work cuz i lost 6 lbs and... gained it all {plus some} back....

more later on this crazy thing i call my everest: to lose weight.

Monday

We had fun at my aunt's bday party!

We're a small family ... but we always have fun together.
No matter what.
And I love that Kev is starting to come to these get togethers of my family.
Makes me happy.
=D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIA SUSY!

Kev and I did something good on Saturday.

We walked at the Relay for Life event they held at a local high school for one of our friends sisters. {Shout out to Lauren and Ryan for putting this together and including us in this great event!}
She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and we decided to help out by walking for a couple hours on Saturday.

There was even a slip and slide!

Kevin got the special Team E shirt because I only signed him up since I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it or not because of work. Luckily I was able to make it and was happy to do it!
He was getting worried since the clouds were turning GRAY and it was becoming really yucky out.
{see? i'm tired of rain!!!}

And I was not sure why these guys dressed up as women but they sure were fun to look at.
=)
