Wish lists!

So the spirit of Christmas has hit Kevin and I super duper early this year!
Don't know what it is this year but I wanna get Christmas rolling already!
My mom is coming tomorrow and I think that is kind of like a Christmas present in of itself! I haven't seen her in over 10 year now! Crazy how time flies by when your not paying attention. And even if you are it still flies by.
But anywho. Christmas!
It is my dad (and mom's) 50th birthday this year so I wanna do it up big for both of them.
I have planned on a couple of days in NYC for my mom and so we can have a girls day(s) up there just going around town, eating good food and just catching up! Plus the PWP event at Touch by Lisa Paige and 92.3 NOW FM will be a plus that weekend.
Then for my dad I won't go into too many details (just in the off chance that he reads this blog!) but it will have some relaxation going on and even a change of scenery. Soooo excited!!!
These are two birthdays that are going to be awesome! Yay!
Anywho back to Kevin and I:
we have already started Christmas lists. He apparently has more on his list than me right now. I am going to be adding on a page up top with our Christmas lists just in case other people want to buy us our wishes! :D
haha
Well gotta go. Getting ready for movie time with my lovely Kevin (who is sick again! grr!).
We are going to see Due Date. It better live up to the hype! I'll let you all know how it is! :D
Trailer:

Ha!!! Love it!
Can't wait to laugh my butt off!
Later!

What day is it today?

Well I had to work last night and I woke up forgetting what day it was, what time it was, what I had to do today...
Then I realized I had just woken up from my sleeping coma.
Oh how I love those!
So today is Mom's day.
Yay!
Oh wait. My mom is an ocean ride away so I really can't celebrate as well as I want. It stinks but what can I do.
I don't have any recent pictures of my mom and I ... or just of my mom. But I do have a pic (which I have above my head on my headboard of my bed) of my mom, me and my little sister on my mommy's wedding day in Portugal.
I miss her dearly and was honored to be her maid of honor on her special day.
I hope to see her and my sister soon... it's been waaaaay to long.
I hope to visit sometime in the next two years!
Unfortunately it has been 11 years already since I haven't physically seen my mom.
It hurts to say that such a long time has passed and so many things have happened and the fact that my mom wasn't here to experience that with me is just... it sucks!
But my dad has done wonders. He's been a wonderful dad (and mom) so I can't complain too much.
He's given me the love for two parents and I can't thank him enough for that.
So today is not only to thank my mom and celebrating her.
No.
It is to both my parents because my dad deserves just as much credit as my mom does.
She carried me around in her belly for 9 months or so, gave birth to me, was my closest and dearest friend for the first 10 years of my life, and is still my mom who I miss talking to and can't wait to share soooo many memories with her.
I am only 22 (going to be 23 very VERY soon) so I have my life ahead of me to share with her.
So happy mother's day mom AND dad.
I love you both with all my heart.
Que diosito nos bendiga con muchos mas anos para celebrar muchas cosas mas!
Love you!!!
Thank you for loving each other enough at one time to give me life and giving me everything you possibly could to make me a great person I am continuing to be.
There are no words that can thank you enough.
<3,
Sofi

Wednesday

It is April... and it is Fool's Day... have you done any tricks yet?

I haven't... but might be thinking of some of these:

Look Closely: Serve your victim some cake/ice cream. After they've eaten some of it, point to their food and tell them there is something in it. Once they bend their face down for a closer look, push their face into their food.

{Kev's mom's bday is today.... hmmm? should i or should i not...? hehe}

Running Late: While the victim is asleep, reset all the clocks two hours ahead. When they wake up they will panic and think they slept in and are late for school or work.

Salty Surprise: Simple - put salt on the victim's toothbrush. Then stand by to watch the surprised look on their face.

{Don't tell him but I just did this to my dad's toothbrush! heeeheee ... shh!}

Early Bird: Set the victim's alarm clock for the middle of the night and hide it somewhere in the room where they will have to get up and scramble to turn it off. (This works even better if you sneak in after they fall asleep and unscrew the light bulbs. Then they'll have to search for it in the dark!!!)

Find more April fool tricks here!
My dad and I are real big pranksters.... especially him!
{UPDATE: my dad just did one to me about 5 min. ago... he got out of the shower and told me to hurry up and go downstairs to turn off the stove. ... Got downstairs and there.was.nothing. I ran upstairs and he was like did you turn it off? And then ran into his room. He said through his door: APRIL'S FOOL!!! grr... i'll get him....}

Pet peeve #1

so i am going to start this series because many people ask:
"what's one of your pet peeves?"
{yes they do ask.}
So instead of racking my brain to think of them, I will start writing them on here.
If you have one let me know.
More than likely I'll agree with you or have one similar to the one you have...
I have MANY pet peeves. Especially now living with my dad, a male, who does not know the reason of why I bought the clorox wipes and leave a bottle of them everywhere!
Anywho, this is my first peeve because it has to do with the very first thing in the morning:
~Not saying good morning when you first see someone.~
I tell Kevin this ALL the time! I do not like it when he just starts off the conversation "Hey did I tell you about....?" and it is 11 am and it is the first time we talk in the morning (since we don't live together).
Just THIS morning I got woken up by my dad (and this happens on a regular basis):
Dad: "Are you up yet? What are you doing? Why aren't you up yet?"
Me: "I'm getting up. I'm getting up."
I don't get "Good morning. Are you up yet?"
Nope.
Nothing.
Nada.
Then after getting me up I open the door and he's telling me I should do this, that and everything in between.
*sigh*
That bugs me...
At least he's a good Dad so I can't complain too much.
And Kevin is a great boyfriend.
But does it HURT YOU to say a simple good morning???
*sigh*
Is this just only me?
Am I crazy?
Well... let's not go there... haha
