It is almost 4 am and I have to wake up in a few hours to go prep at the clinical site I will be all day on monday. i'm going to be soooooooooooooooooo tired.
but so much went on this weekend that i will HAVE to update later today (sunday).
so much to tell and how do you like my new layout?
yay or nay?
so far my eyes are lovin' it.

{via: just a little yummy pic... didn't have a specific pic for this post so Chanel cupcakes always are good huh? huh?}
I have been away from the blogging world and appearing every now and again as you can tell by my few posts over the weekend. I had clinical so it did not leave me much time to do anything but prep for clinical and sleep early. I usually go to sleep around 1 or 2 AM but I actually fell asleep both nights around 11 pm. That's a big step for me. haha.
Anywho, I wanted to say hi and know how everyone was. I am actually in the process of finishing some homework for my class tomorrow which is on Emergency Prepardness.
It is something I have never thought about because there has never been an actual "big" emergency in my area other than a few bad storms/floods/small hurricanes passing by. But I think that everyone should be prepared for a disaster event even if the possibility of a disaster happening is very slim, there still is that chance that it will happen.
I was trying to imagine the most horrible disaster event that could happen in my area and I thought "Wow. Is my city really ready for a disaster? Could all the local hospitals really deal with the mass of people injured/dead????" So this got me thinking and I want to ask my lovely readers/blogging friends: Are you prepared for an emergency disaster event? Do you know if your community has a protocol for a disaster event planned? If not, where would you go to find out? Are you and your family prepared to get up and go in case there would be an evacuation? Where would you go? Do you have emergency money in case you would have to leave your house? Do you know what resources you need in case of a evacuation? Just some water bottles and canned food? Or do you need more? Is your health in ok condition or do you need certain medications for your heart or health condition, and would you have enough medication to get you through an evacuation? These are some of the questions you should think about and there are many more but I wanna know what your answer to all or some of these questions are.
Are you prepared for a disaster event???
Tell me!
For now I will go. I am going to spend the morning/early afternoon with my grammy which I am very happy about! Haven't been able to spend much time with her lately. Then I am off to work at 7p. =( Hope to see many comments about your emergency plans or your non-existent ones!
So everyone should go check this post out by Meg Fee. I know my blog doesn't reach many people but to those few of you who check this blog out and don't already follow Meg's fascinating blog well you should. Meg is an awesome girl who says it how it is and has the greatest ways of saying it [on her blog].
She has started a 'perfect body initiative' and I couldn't be more happy to say that I have joined in. She has had many great responses such as the first one she has chosen to post by Morgan from Let Me Help You Help Me [who I read often as well!]:
"My shoulders... because they allow me to hold my head high."
"I think my body is perfect because of how confident I feel in my own skin - and loving every new little wrinkle." -S.
So go ahead ladies and gents. Go over to her blog and tell her why you think your body is perfect. And if you would like to leave me a comment as well, as to why you think your body is perfect, I would love to hear 'em...
I can't believe I am doing a post about the Jonas brothers. But it's like that annoying friend that just.won't.go.away. Check this video out and let me know what you think... Flippin' hilarious.
He really needs to learn some moves. haha! Found vid here.
Is it true: men who are great on the dance floor are also great in bed?
And is a good guy dancer a turn on?
And do you care if your guy is a good dancer or not?
For me: I could care less!!!
If my guy was just on the dance floor with me and let me do my thing and not be embarassed, then why should I be embarrased that he can't dance???
But I gotta admit Gilles from DWTS was freaking good and ever sooo sexy on the dance floor so... *sigh* His wife is a VERY lucky woman!
I'm sitting here trying to listen to a podcast my professor has for us to listen for our class tomorrow {which is really cool btw. helps me learn without having to do as much reading! and I can pause/rewind whenever, unlike real in class lecture!} but my eyes kept drifting over to
We just got a call from someone ( i think it was the AP aka secretary of the unit aka D.) and D. said that it was BREAKFAST NIGHT!
It is THE BEST!
And I haven't been here for the past few times they have it @ night so I am ever sooo happy!
There is this one guy {if I can, I'll go down tonight and take a pic of him working his "magic" at the omelette station...}
Man he makes an amazingly awesome omellete!
I wish I could take his skills home with me.
Also, the tater tots are to die for!
Yum!
I just ate my din din (yep. at 11p. wonders about working night shifts.) and it was one of those Healthy Choice pasta things... it was yummy but I am sooo craving one of these deliciously good omelettes!
{this is in miami but I liked it so I used it: pic found here}
about the fact that there was a F1 tornado pass by on the other side of a mt. right.behind.my.house! Ah! I have video of that scary night.... that hail was I.N.S.A.N.E.! So much fell and so hard that there was need of shoveling in most parts of my county! There's a city two minutes away which had a park pretty much wrecked with many trees fallen down and just havock everywhere. Yeah.... this is the SECOND time a tornado has passed by (I believe so far this year...) and made a disaster out of our city/county. The first one that came through went right through my alma matter (high school). It's still in shambles! This was so scary when I found out because my best friend Quynh lives literally a block away from the h.s. Plus, my other bestie WORKS at the school. Luckily the tornado passed by on a Saturday afternoon and Quynh wasn't home and weird enough the havock stopped about five homes before it reached hers. This is crazy! We live in a VALLEY not plain land!!! What is happening with the weather this year???? Today (only 24 hrs later) it is sunny, light breeze, ~62 degrees with the sun beaming thru my shades! Gotta love mother nature dears.... How's the weather in your corner of the earth??
